John Daly takes early lead in the 89th PGA
John Daly managed to sweat his way to an early lead at the USPGA Championship in Tulsa Oklahoma.
John Daly who says he’s lost 20 or 30 pounds is now down to the playing weight he was at when he won the championship in 92.
Due to the incredibly hot temperatures daily skipped practice rounds and instead opted for cigarettes, caffiene and gambling at the Cherokee Casino.
“No wonder he didn’t play any practice rounds,” Trinidad born Canadian Stephen Ames said of Daly. “He would have died.”
John Daly’s lead was short lived however as Graeme Storm got up with -5 under.
