Padraig Harrington hopes his recent British Open win will inspire his European collegues
Padraig Harrington fresh off his British Open victory is hoping he will inspire another European Champion at the 89th PGA Championship.
Paddy Harrington was the first European to win the British Open since 1999 and the Irish golfer believes there is enough talent coming through the ranks to offer some serious competition.
“There are lots of good, young European players and seeing me go on, I think that will have added belief,” he said.
“We’re in a better place now than we were going into the Open. If the floodgates open over the next couple of years, I’m going to take the credit.”
Meanwhile Oklahoma will be super hot with temperatures in the 100’s. Will these cooler climate European’s like Ireland’s Paddy Harrington be able to handle the heat?
