Phil Mickelson debuts on Asian Tour with Singapore Open
Phil Mickelson will join other big names such as Ernie El’s at the richest tournament in Asia - the $4 million dollar Singapore Open.
With big bucks on the line the Singapore Open has managed to gambit some big names. Now going for almost 50 years after kicking off in 1961 the Singapore Open is by far the richest tournament in Asia and Phil Mickelson plans on capitalising.
In 2008 the tournaments sponsor Barclays Bank will up the prize money to $5,000,000.
The Singapore Open will be held on Serapong course on the resort island of Sentosa from Nov 1st to the 4th.
Other big name players joining Mickelson and El’s include, Vijay Singh, former U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell, Shingo Katayama and Darren Clarke.
