Anthony Paolucci is 14 and is the youngest player still in contention in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Boone Valley Golf Club.
In the 36-hole stroke-play qualifier Anthony Paolucci shot 71 75 to tie for 22nd and qualify. That was his initial aim.

Seung Yul Noh a Korean Golfer Gets Top Seed at U.S. Junior Amateur
Seung Yul Noh, a 16-year-old from Korea shot a 69 67 to give a two-day total of 136 and 6 under for the two days at Boone Valley Golf Club, Augusta, Mo. and secure top seed for match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
Hunter Hamrick of Montgomery, Ala., was 2 back on 4 under and James White of Acworth, Ga., 3 back on 3 under for the two days.
The players were ranked Seung Yul Noh 1st, Hunter Hamrick 2nd, and James White 3rd for the match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
“I played hard,” said Noh, through his caddie/interpreter Benny Kim. “I tried to make a lot of pars. My putting was good. I made a couple of long putts on 3 and 17.”
The cut for match play was at 9-over-par 151 with the top 64 scores advancing. The second and third rounds of match play are set for Thursday, with the quarterfinals and semifinals planned for Friday. A 36-hole final round will be played Saturday.
Seung Yul Noh is certainly a player to look out for the future.
